Meet the team
Kimo Camat
Kimo Camat is thrilled you can make it to this long awaited show. Kimo is a Portland born performer who studied Drama & Theatre at University of Portland. Drawing inspiration from genres ranging from classic soul, neo funk, and a dash of musical theatre, Kimo credits his love of music to Sam Cooke and Roberta Flack.
Having performed on stages all across the west coast for the past 16 years, Kimo has developed a true love of story telling through various mediums - his favorite being through song.
This summer, Kimo plans to record his first EP: Drifting Away comprised of his own original music.
Kimo is the recipient of the 2023 Regional Arts and Culture Council ArtsC3 Grant* for Kiki’s Delivery Service of Love Songs and Heartbreak. The show in itself is a labor of love, about finding love, and about understanding what self love is. All stories in tonight’s performance are true stories and highlight the highs and lows of the comedic tragedy of Kimo’s dating life.
He urges you to sing along, to laugh, to cry, to cheer just whatever it is, do it in kindness and with love.

While pursuing different professional passions, Christina has continued to perform in a range of ways, from singing with an Brooklyn-based electro-jazz band to doing stand up comedy. Since moving to Portland in 2016, she joined B-Side Book Club, a PDX a cappella group, where she met and fell in love with Kimo. While the group did not survive COVID19 pandemic, she is excited to be on stage singing again.

ABOUT THE SHOW
Kiki's Delivery Service of Love Songs and Heartbreak is a cabaret-styled theatrical performance highlighting the complexities of navigating queer love in modern day times. We will be performing songs about love whether that be first love, a complicated breakup, a gorgeous proposal, and ultimately finding and understanding self-love. In most cases, it can be difficult and incredibly scary to come out as gay to friends and family - it feels like you're hiding the truest and most authentic part of yourself in fear of being rejected by those you love. We navigate the world with arms crossed protecting ourselves from this rejection. So when we open ourselves up to love with our palms facing upwards we are at our most vulnerable - open to catching all of the good and the bad. And from doing this we learn that the only way to mend heartbreak is to risk more. This is a one night only concert - to connect the local queer community and allies during February for a night of laughter, tears, and affirmations.
Kiki's Delivery Service of Love Songs and Heartbreak" is a captivating musical journey that transcends the boundaries of love, heartbreak, and the rollercoaster of emotions in between. This labor of love is a heartfelt exploration of love's highs and lows in the LGBTQIA+ community, punctuated with soul-stirring love songs, evocative spoken word poetry, and tales of unforgettable (and sometimes cringe-worthy) dating experiences.
This show is a celebration that invites you to honor that special someone in your life – whether it's a cherished coworker, an elusive crush, or even just a dear friend.
In a world where Valentine's Day can elicit both euphoria and melancholy, "Kiki's Delivery Service of Love Songs and Heartbreak" is a safe haven for all. For those who find themselves in the ambivalence of this day, this is a reminder that you're not alone – the heartaches, ice cream, and existential moments in the shower are part of the shared human experience.
With a full band, back up singers, and creative storytelling we will remind the audience that "love arrives exactly when love is supposed to and love leaves when love must. When love arrives, say 'thank you, for stopping by.'
